***MAJOR CHANGE TO EVENT ON 2-18-10 --- Sadly, I can not get enough lanes for the 9:30-11:30 session so I have to scrap it. I have secured us 4 lanes for the 12am-2am session. We can have between 4 to 6 people on each lane, so 16-24 people can bowl, and I am sure we can get another lane if needed. This is a very busy bowling alley and moon rock is always selling out so I am lucky to have secured this many lanes. Since this is the case, I have to re-work the event and the new schedule of events will appear below.......
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Optional pre-event dinner at Macaroni Grille will take place at 9:00 PM. To sign up for that event, visit the separate meetup event page. Dinner should be over no later than 11:00 PM at which point everyone will head over to bowling. For those not attending Macaroni Grille, we will begin arriving at the bowling alley anytime after 11pm. They have a bar and area to drink and hang out until our lanes open up.
11:00 PM - 12:00 AM - Arrival at Fairview Lanes to get situated - pay our dues, have a drink, and have a gathering of everyone who's coming on down. You'll have time to choose your bowling bowl, to pick who you want to bowl with, and to get a drink and get all set up for the session which begins exactly at 12.
12:00 AM - 2:00 AM - Bowl & Booze AKA "Bring The King To Town @ Moon Rock Bowling Extravaganza".
So what the heck is this event all about anyways?
We'll be bowling in a cybernetic setting, glowing lights, flashing rays, disco balls turning, and music blaring. We'll be bowling to the MOON ROCK BOWLING! Tonight's big goal is to raise awareness to corrective eye surgery. One member is having surgery in Columbus and we are going to not only cheer him on to quick recovery, but we are going to support his big return to town and hope to see him at MOON ROCK! That's right, King Candy, your new vision will allow you to get a new high score in bowling!
It's going to be a bowling challenge. There will be several categories and this event will run from 12am-2am, with registration beginning at 11:30pm.
Come on down to win! Winner gets a pat on the back or a new nickname, maybe we'll shake your hand, but don't expect a trophy, it's all for fun, bowl and booze awards are as follows:
-Best single score of the night
-Best team score (categorized, teams of 5 or 6)
-The Strike Award - most strikes in a single game
-Worst score of the night
-Worst team score of the night (categorized, teams of 5 or 6)
I want to point out, I hosted the Cosmic Bowling extravaganza last summer, so I sorta know what I'm doing when it comes to intertwining bowling with booze... On a serious note, there could end up being a tournament of some sort. I know Kevin "Candyman" Candy had his best game ever at Bradnan's on 1-20-10, Alex "Axel" Rose took it down a few weeks back, and newcomer Joe has been buffing his ball and practicing weekly for this big event. On a recent night of "practice" at Cloverleaf, most bowlers finished in the 100's, such as Dave Waleri, Kevin Candy, Beth Levvy, and Boris "Joey Russo Reborn". One player, Marshall Piccus had a 99.
For those not too much into bowling, come on down to watch, or try to win worst score.. or better yet, come play bumper bowling or something. All are invited to this most awesome event. Or just come play for fun and forget trying to be #1.
Moon Rock Bowling at Fairview Lanes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CLEVELAND’S PREMIER BOWLING ALLEY & NIGHTCLUB EXPERIENCE
Laser Lights, Disco Lights, Black Lights, and Runway Lights. Haze machines pumping out fog. LOUD heart pounding music. TWIN 10’x10’ screen TV’s above the lanes. With C.J. the D.J. taking your requests!
Saturday Night (February 20th) from 12am-2am.
$13.95 per person - One low price per person includes all-you-can bowl and shoe rental, plus the glow-in-the-dark fun of MoonRock! For 2 hours, we could play anywhere from 4-6 games.
We had an event here last summer that was a success! Moon rock is better than midnight bowling tho, it's a crazy place with all kinds of psychedelic sound and light effects while you bowl in a glow in the dark environment with loud music. The DJ will be taking special requests all night long. Bowling begins at 10:00 pm sharp!
I will reserve 4 lanes with upto 6 people on each lane. If more than 20 people rsvp, I can reserve more lanes as needed. This means we're guaranteed to bowl and no waiting or wondering. Also, if you go on the website there is a $3.00 discount off the original price, so $10.95 is an awesome deal for 3 hours of cosmic bowling and shoe rental. You can sign up as a "maybe" if you aren't sure yet, but I prefer you pick yes or no. Maybe's are not guaranteed a lane, so if you aren't going to attend, don't pick maybe. Simple enough!
They have a bar and food station as well. According to the owner, she said they have all your favorite drinks except for brandi alexander's! See you there folks!
