New Member Social – Free drinks in the VIP Room at the Velvet Dog

Ok – you signed up for the Meetup site… Now when are you actually going to attend an event to see how it works?? Look no further – this is it! On February 19, the Velvet Dog has agreed to give us their plush 3rd floor VIP room and for us to be treated like VIP’s all night!

This is a NEW MEMBER SOCIAL, which means this meetup is specifically for members of the 20/30s group that have been to less than 5 EVENTS. All members that have already attended 5 events will have to wait until 11:30 to join the party. There will be 3 hard working organizers (and 3 additional organizers from the Nightlife group) there to greet you and make sure you’re having a great time. Be prepared to get out and meet other new members of the group, make new friends, enjoy a couple games designed to get the conversations started and in general just find out what makes Meetup so great. Feel free to bring friends along that are also new to the group, or come alone and make a bunch of new ones.

You’re probably asking yourself – “what makes this meetup so special?” Well, let’s try free drinks and food for starters. The Velvet Dog is offering our group huge incentives to get more people in the door. The breakdown is simple... the more people we have at this event THE MORE FREE STUFF WE GET! Here is how it works:
WE GET: Private VIP Room with a private bartender from 9 - 11:30pm PLUS happy hour prices during the event ($1 off every drink)

WHAT WE GET WITH MORE PEOPLE SIGNED UP:

20+ People = Half off bottle service (which is a good deal since a ½ price bottle comes with red bull and mixers and is only $80 which is about $4 per drink)

30+ People = Half off bottle service AND 1 free drink for everyone (beer, wine or house liquor) AND we get to keep the VIP room all night!

40+ People = All of the above AND a free shot (shot will probably be a lemon drop)

50+ People = All of the above AND an appetizer buffet from 9 - 11:00pm

60+ People = All of the above AND happy hour prices for the entire night ($1 off every drink)

Sure we will be enjoying free drinks in a deluxe VIP room but what will make this event great is. . . YOU! Bring a friend or two (just make sure to put +1 or +2 on your RSVP so we can get a good head count). The more people we get the more fun and free stuff everyone can enjoy. Our only request is please update your RSVP if you can’t make it, but I’m sure that won’t be a problem since who can pass up this event!
