After huge negotiation with the Crown Plaza Hotel, I have secured a special rate for anyone that would like to get a nice 4 star hotel right next to the Blue Snapper. People securing this deal are welcome to join us for the hotel pre-party which should involve sometime in the indoor pool and whirlpool. We are pleased to offer a ten (10) room block at a rate of $69.00 single/double occupancy plus tax (15.25%).

This is for a room with one king or two queen beds, subject to availability at the time the reservation is made.

The cut-off date for the block is 12/31/09. Should a reservation be called in and the block has cancelled, the individual may receive this rate subject to hotel room availability.

Check in time begins at 3:00 p.m.; check out time is by 12:00 Noon.

Update 12/20.....New in Town Meetup will be joining in on this event to make it a dual meetup.

Okay!! After talking with several venues this year, we have decided to go with .................................

Blue Snapper Grille......this year for New Years. The manager has booked us in the private party room and we are getting an amazing group discount for the 2 special packages they are offering for the evening......

$27 for a deluxe 4 course meal (regularly $65 for two only)
$35 for Open Bar & Appetitizer Buffet (9:30-12:30 I believe, but im still confirming)

There will be a DJ with a dance floor, champagne toast, and balloon drop to look forward to as well. Why not spend new years in a relaxed environment working on a popular resolution of meeting new people, here is your chance! More answers are provided in the Q & A below.....................

Q. Alex, you're awesome, thanks for the group rate, with the rough economy, can I order something else?

A. Yes, you can, there is no cover. I would ask that you do order something though, be it another meal, drinks, etc.. This upscale restaurant and bar is going out of their way to accomodate us, so please support the bar and wait staff as we have done in the past so we can continue to bulid relationships with non-profits and business.

Q. What if I had to leave my car overnight?

A. We have been given permission to leave them if necessary.

Q. I like to have some drinks without fear of a DUI or Im an Eastsider with a drive, can you help me???

A. Yes, Bob and Dawn will be offering up their places to to stay and taxi from to a limited amount of people. Email with a request and Ill see what I can do (no one is guaranteed a spot but we will try to accomodate). Also there are several reasonable priced hotels within walking distance to accomodate as well if you want to room by yourself or with another small group.
